I write the lyrics and the music to my songs. My background is in piano, accordion, and guitar. I also played clarinet and bugle when I was still in school. I am familiar with many instruments, as are most professional musicians.
I waited several years before buying my own computer. A free trial of music writing software got me started into arranging for all the parts to my songs...I fell in love with this new digital form of music. That was 6 years ago, and I am still fascinated with making all the different instrument sounds come together.
I don't know where my personal style comes from. My Dad was a professional musician; playing mostly Big Band, Country, Western Swing, and Dixieland. Dad played saxophone, clarinet, and guitar.
As a child I learned to play classical piano first. I guess I just mixed it all up together and came up with the style I have now.....And that is continually evolving into something new...Don't you just love it !!
